Born in King’s Lynn in 1994, Alistair Farthing is a Vancouver based mixed media visual artist whose practice is used as an investigation into the intricacies of a constructed social fabric as well as the objects of importance which dictate these relationships. His artistic practice often involves collaborative efforts and explores the landscape between the scientific and the romantic. Working predominantly in lens based media, his work is a vehicle for the scrutiny of the medium with recurring themes of memory, time, authenticity and structures of power.
